Sewer Operating Committee


About Us

The four member Sewer Operating Committee plans, develops, and operates the Princeton municipal sanitary sewer collection system and River Road Convenience Center. The Committee is governed by Municipal Law. At least one member must have civil engineering or municipal waste experience. The Committee reviews development applications to calculate anticipated wastewater flow and possible sewer trust fund payment prior to issuance of building permits. Issues sewer connection permits after review of application for compliance with “Rules and Regulations for House Connections and Sewer Extensions” for all installations and repairs of sewer laterals Responsible for Inspection of Grease Interceptors of all retail food establishments, schools, institutions, etc. Responsible for issuing Certificates of Compliance for proper connection of sump pumps, roof drains, and other surface and ground water drains (to be filed prior to transfer of property)
