About Us
This five-member committee advises the Mayor and Council on matters of financial importance to the town. The committee regularly reviews the municipal budget and capital spending before adoption so that Council can better understand its financial implication to taxpayers and other stakeholders on both an immediate and long-term basis. The committee advises Council on financial policies that guide municipal spending and revenue-raising and undertakes special projects to help evaluate the financial aspects of many other issues facing the town, such as parking rates, the cost of various municipal services, and benchmarking exercises. The committee’s monthly meetings include members of Council and municipal staff members.
